The 2016 Acura NSX is being shown off once again, this time in new colors. 

As part of the 2015 Monterey Car Week, Acura has brought a trio of NSX sports cars to The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, two of which are being shown for the first time. The 2016 Acura NSX will be the brand's first build-to-order model, which means there will be plenty of options to choose from for buyers. Along with the Valencia Red Pearl model we've seen testing numerous times now, Acura rolled out an NSX finished in Nouvelle Blue Pearl and one in Berlina Black.

Both vehicles have had their aesthetics accented by a carbon fiber exterior package that includes a front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and exhaust finisher – all in carbon. Up top is a carbon roof while the engine bay on both cars now features carbon covers on the front, side and rear of the engine. To differentiate the two slightly, the Nouvelle Blue Pearl NSX sports silver brake calipers while the Berlina Black model has them finished in black.

The wheels are also different between the two, with the blue NSX sporting Exclusive Interwoven wheels. Meanwhile on the Berlina Black model are NSX Signature Y-Spoke wheels. Both vehicles have been outfitted with a color-matched rear decklid spoiler.

On the inside, Acura will offer an interior Carbon Sports Package which includes carbon fiber meter visor, steering garnish, aluminum foot rest and sport pedals. A black Alcantara headliner can be found on all three NSX models on display while the seats feature both leather and Alcantara materials. For those that don't find the powertrain enjoyable enough to listen to, you can opt for an ELS Studio Audio and Technology Package that adds nine-speaker ELS Studio Premium Audio, Acura Navigation System, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and AcuraLink front and rear parking sensors.

The First 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Cup Car gets Pace Car Duty

The first production 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Cup race car is also the newest member of the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca fleet of safety vehicles.

Mazda Motorsports debuted the first production 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Cup race car as part of the festivities at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. In addition to pace car duty, the Japanese automaker will use the first production race car to gather additional durability data ahead of the first deliveries to customers. The first race cars will be used in the Battery Tender Mazda MX-5 Cup when the 2016 race season kicks off next year.

The stylish graphics found on the pace car were designed by Mazda Design Studio in Irvine, California and applied by StickyFingers Design. This year's racing season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will conclude on September 11-13 with the Mazda Road to Indy and Pirelli World Challenge finales.

"For Mazda, this weekend is the perfect blend of past, present, and future," noted John Doonan, director of motorsports for Mazda North American Operations. "We are celebrating our motorsports heritage on the track with our vintage race cars. We are showcasing our current line-up of race-inspired products in our consumer display in the paddock, and with this pace car, we are giving a glimpse into the 2016 racing season when the latest MX-5 Miata will be racing in the Global MX-5 Cup."

Britax Recalls 213K Child Seats

Britax is recalling 213,000 child seats over an issue with the should harness. 

The problem, which affects some Boulevard ClickTight, Advocate ClickTight and Marathon ClickTight child seats, is a red harness adjuster button that may stick in the released position, allowing the shoulder harness to loosen.

Britax plans to notify registered owners and send them a remedy kit which includes a lubricant that is supposed to be applied to the harness adjuster button. Britax says the recall will begin on August 17, 2015.

Child seat safety has been in the spotlight lately after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) fined Graco Children's Products Inc. for $10 million after the company failed to recall over 4 million child seats in a timely fashion. Eventually, 6.1 million seats were recalled by Graco over a buckles that could become sticky and difficult to open.

Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster Arrives to Rule all Drop Tops

The Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is here to show all other convertibles how its done. 

Lambo's latest drop top model gets its power from the same 6.5-liter V12 as its coupe counterpart, which sends 740 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque through a seven-speed ISR automated manual transmission and on to all four wheels. Weight has increased by about 110 lbs, but that doesn't stop this car from claiming a top speed of "more than 217 mph," just like it does with the coupe.

Performance in a straight line is barely diminished, with the roadster dropping 0.1 seconds off the coupe's 0 to 60 mph run, achieving the feat in 2.9 seconds. That means that the SV roadster should be capable of the same 6:59.73 time around the Nurburgring, set by the Aventador SV Coupe.

The roof itself is made up of two carbon fiber panels, each weighing less than 13 lbs. Lambo says that they can be removed and refitted easily using a quick-release system. A rear window is fitted to the roadster model and can be controlled by the driver to help reduce wind noise.

Inside, the roadster is identical to the coupe, featuring Alcantara wrapped everything.

Aerodynamic enhancements include a large front splitter and the three-way adjustable fixed rear wing introduced on the SV Coupe.

Lamborghini has already sold all 600 units of the Aventador SV Coupe, which means that the production run of 500 roadsters likely won't take long to sell.

Lotus Exige 360 Cup Sheds Pounds, Adds Power

Lotus has introduced the new Exige 360 Cup limited edition. 

Just 50 examples of this lightweight sports car will be built and each will receive a unique Lotus Motorsport numbers plaque. Thanks to lightweight body panels, the Exige 360 boasts a curb weight of 2,491 lbs, a loss of about 70 lbs compared to the Exige S Club Racer.

Power from the car's 3.5-liter supercharged V6 is also boosted by about 10 hp to make around 354 hp. A sports exhaust contributes to the gain in power while it also gives this car a new tone for us to enjoy at the race track. Adjustable suspension and four different dynamic modes, drive, sport, race and off are available along with launch control.

The body remains the same as the Exige V6 Cup car and contributes 101 lbs of downforce at 100 mph, though the styling has been slightly revised. The roof of the car is painted matte black along with the new front access panel and louvered tailgate. Four colors are available: Metallic White, Metallic Grey, Metallic Black and Metallic Silver.

Inside you'll find embroidered seats and dash panel, while red Alcantara, FIA-spec carbon fiber seats, air conditioning and a removable steering wheel are all available options. The Exige 360 Cup is eligible to run in the Lotus Cup race series, which is why the company offers some of those race-specific add-ons.

The Lotus Exige 360 Cup is now on sale in the UK, starting at £62,995.

Is this the 2017 Ford Fusion?

An image of what appears to be the updated 2017 Ford Fusion has been inadvertently leaked by Ford. 

Posted on a Ford corporate website, the image shows the Fusion with a slightly revised front bumper and grille. The headlights also appear to be changed up while larger chrome blades are now fitted at either corner of the front bumper. Rear end style isn't revealed by the photo, but it is also expected to be slightly revised.

On the inside, Ford's new Sync3 infotainment setup will replace MyFordTouch while a new rotary style shift knob is rumored to be replacing the car's shift lever.

Powertrain options are expected to stay the same when the 2017 model launches sometime midway through next year.
