Authentic General Lee Dodge Charger Heading to Auction Posted: An original, screen-used General Lee Dodge Charger is crossing the auction block. Starring in the original television show The Dukes of Hazzard, the 1969 Dodge Charger is reportedly one of three cars of its kind to have survived. In total, more than 300 General Lee cars were used during the television series, but the vast majority of them were destroyed during filming of the show's obligatory stunt scenes. The General Lee heading to auction has a clean title and will come with a letter of authenticity from Warner Bros. proving that it was used as a picture vehicle during the filming of the series. The vehicle is in good running condition and is completely street legal and drivable. The winning bidder will also receive an original production Hazzard County license plate with license number "CNH 320." Of course, the detail is what makes the vehicle authentic and it's hard to imagine one without it. The General Lee is being auctioned off on September 30 as part of Hollywood Auction 74, hosted by Profiles in History the world's largest auctioneer of Hollywood memorabilia.
