If you're in the market for a high-performance coupe there are several excellent options on the market. Two of the best are the Cadillac ATS-V and BMW's M4.

Caddy's cruise missile is motivated by a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6. It cranks out 464 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. For die-hard enthusiasts you can opt for a proper six-speed manual gearbox or a slushbox with eight forward ratios.

Not to be outgunned, BMW's rival M4 features a force-fed straight six that delivers 425 ponies and 406 units of twist. As for transmissions, you can get a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or a six-speed stick. As for pricing, this Bimmer starts around $62,000. An entry-level ATS-V can be had for roughly 60 big ones.

2016 Nissan NV Cargo Van to Start From $27,835

The 2016 Nissan NV Cargo van will start from $27,835 including destination.

The 2016 Nissan NV Cargo is available in three models, NV1500, NV2500 HD and NV3500 HD with two roof configurations, Standard Roof and High Roof. Two engine choices are available, a 4.0-liter V6 or 5.6-liter V8 and both are mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The Nissan NV 2500 Standard Roof S V6 will be priced from $28,835 while the V8 model starts at $30,035. At the top of the range is the NV 3500 Standard Roof SL V6 with a price of $34,105. The NV 2500 High Roof S V6 will start from $30,985.

Now standard for the NV Cargo are supplemental front seat-mounted, side-impact airbags and roof-mounted curtain side-impact airbags for front outboard occupant head protection. Buyers can also choose from a new exterior color, Cayenne Red.

The four-row, 12-passenger 2016 Nissan NV Passenger van will start from $33,805 and comes standard with a 4.0-liter V6 engine. Opting for the 5.6-liter V8 will run $1,200 additional.

The NV Passenger van also gets one notable change with the previous SL Technology Package now standard on the SL model. There are also two new colors added, Pearl White and Cayenne Red for seven available colors total.

Volkswagen Hires Same Lawyer That Handled GM’s Ignition Switch Fund

Volkswagen has hired attorney Kenneth Feinberg, the same man who was responsible for handling the GM ignition switch compensation fund.

Feinberg will be in charge of designing and administering an independent claims resolution program for the German automaker's recent TDI scandal. Volkswagen is turning to Feinberg's expertise and believes the veteran attorney will develop an independent, fair and swift process for resolving claims related to 2.0- and 3.0-liter TDI vehicles.

Feinberg will begin work immediately on designing an independent claims process with the input of Volkswagen, vehicle owners, their lawyers and other interested parties.

He is considered one of the nation's top compensation experts and not only handled the GM ignition switch fund but the BP Gulf oil spill and the Boston Marathon bombing.

Volkswagen is still working with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on a fix for the vehicles affected in the U.S. It recently got European approval for a fix that will commence next year.

"We are pleased to announce the retention of Kenneth Feinberg. His extensive experience in handling such complex matters will help to guide us as we move forward to make things right with our customers," said Michael Horn, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America.

2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA Gets Tech Upgrades, More Power

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover is getting numerous updates on its infotainment features and standard amenities.

All-new for the 2015 model year, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA gets infotainment updates thanks to a new larger seven-inch display with a media interface and pre-wiring for Garmin Map Pilot navigation. There is also new HD Voice for compatible mobile devices to help make voices sound clearer. New standard features include Keyless Start, dual-zone climate control and seat cushion length adjustment.

Optional packages have also been reconfigured for the 2016 model year with Keyless-Go becoming a part of the Premium Package, but it also available as a standalone option. The available Rear View Camera now has 180-degree view functionality and a power passenger seat is now available as a standalone option. Included with the Interior Package for 2016 is multi-color Ambient Lighting, which can also be ordered as a standalone option.

Like the Mercedes-AMG CLA45, the AMG GLA45 also sees its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine get boosted to 375 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The standard CLA250 continues to use a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the CLA250 goes 0-60 in 7.1 seconds while returning 35 mpg on the highway. The CLA45 does the sprint much quicker at 4.3 seconds.

2017 Honda Ridgeline Teased

Honda is teasing the 2017 Ridgeline before the truck is fully revealed in January at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. 

The new photo shows the rear end of the truck, which now features a more square, upright look, a styling direction that the entire Ridgeline is moving towards. Under the hood, a 3.5-liter V6 will be offered, though power output is still unknown.

In its release, Honda hints that the new truck will keep the in-bed trunk and and dual-hinged tailgate which can open like a traditional truck tailgate or swing to the side.

After its debut in Detroit, the Ridgeline will star in Honda's Super Bowl commercial in February 2016.

The truck will begin showing up in dealerships in the first half of 2016.

After announcing the Honda Civic as the winner of the AutoGuide.com 2016 Car of the Year award there was just one thing left to do – hand over the hardware.

And that's just what AutoGuide Editorial Director Colum Wood did last night in Detroit.

At Honda's annual Detroit holiday party, Wood delivered the award to Honda Motor America President and CEO Takuji Yamada and company Senior Vice President and General Manager Jeff Conrad.
