Most Read Car Reviews of the Week: January 18 – 25 Posted: Chevrolet's new high-power Corvette Z06 managed to attract the most attention this past week on AutoGuide. A massive 650-hp supercharged V8 powers the new Z06, allowing the car to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds. The 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport is the brand's new compact luxury crossover and we travelled to Iceland to test it out. Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 240 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque. A comparison test between the 2015 Honda Fit and 2015 Toyota Yaris fits into the third spot on the list. The Fit beats out the Yaris in just about every way, so is there any reason to consider the Toyota? Another comparison makes the list this week as well, looking at the 2015 Honda Accord and the 2015 Toyota Camry. Both cars have their merits, but which is better? Finally, the 2015 Acura RLX P-AWS review wraps up the list. Power for the car comes from a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 310 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque. Porsche Pajun to be Dedicated Electric Car: Report Posted: The baby Porsche Panamera model will be a dedicated electric vehicle in the automaker's lineup. It is being reported that the German automaker has decided to not sell gasoline or diesel variants of its long-planned Pajun, instead it'll be an electric vehicle set to take on Tesla. According to the report from auto motor und sport, Porsche executives believe the sporty sedan segment is already too crowded so the company has decided to fill another niche with its Pajun that is expected to arrive in 2018 or 2019. SEE ALSO: Porsche Pajun Delayed Until 2019 As a result, the Pajun will borrow technology from the Panamera S E-Hybrid and it is likely that Porsche will change its name once it heads to production. Porsche is also betting in a couple of years that battery technology will be advanced enough so that EVs can easily offer closer to a 250-mile range, making them far more appealing to the mass market. Hyundai Skipping 2015 Super Bowl Ads Posted: Hyundai has joined other major automakers in sitting out of advertising during the Super Bowl. Other companies that have pulled out this year include Ford, Lincoln, Volkswagen and Audi though six automakers are still committed to the Big Game including BMW, Kia, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Toyota. Last year, 11 automakers aired commercials during the Super Bowl, but this year there will only be six.
