Aston Martin DB9 Successor Mule Spied Posted: Aston Martin is already developing a successor to the current DB9 sports car. The British automaker was recently caught on camera by AutoGuide.com's spy photographers testing a mule for the next-generation DB9. It appears that the test car is a powertrain mule so there isn't much to see in terms of new design, although it does look slightly wider in the front. SEE ALSO: Aston Martin Sticking with V12 Engines The DB9 successor is expected to make its debut next year, so expect to see full body prototypes that are a bit more exciting later on this year. As we reported earlier, Aston Martin will be sticking to V12 engines for the time being, even once it begins receiving Mercedes-AMG engines in the future. Lincoln Continental Concept Leaked Posted: A slip up by Lincoln suggests that the brand is bringing back the Continental. A link to a website shell was found by Jalopnik that describes the upcoming Continental Concept. The unfinished site also has a section for upcoming cars, under which is listed the 2017 Continental, suggesting that the car will be going all the way to production. No photos of the car are posted on the site, which simply has text describing the Continental Concept. "This is the new elegantly styled and boldly distinctive Lincoln Continental Concept," reads the site. "It represents who we are as a carmaker. It's a culmination of learning, engineering, and envisioning what's to come." SEE ALSO: Lincoln Continental Revival Plans Leaked There is one small bit of information posted on the site regarding the new car. "Enter what's next through e-latch door handles to find seats that don't just embrace you body, but massage it." The new Continental may be the replacement for the Lincoln MKS that is slated to ride on a stretched version of the MKZ platform, which would imply that it would be front-wheel drive based. There is also the possibility that the Continental will act as a halo car for the brand, competing with the new Cadillac CT6. Loading, please wait... |

The AJAC 2015 Eco Run Starts Today Posted: The annual Eco-Run is once again underway, put on by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC). The goal of the event is to highlight the latest in eco-friendly vehicles from a variety of manufacturers. Unlike a lot of automotive events, the Eco-Run focuses on fuel economy results above all else. This year list of entries includes a variety of vehicles from several different market segments. They are:
This is not a contest between the vehicles to be the most efficient, but rather a showcase. There is a friendly competition between the various journalists participating as drivers to see who can achieve the best fuel economy in each vehicle. I'll be attending the event from March 25-26 and hope to hyper-mile my way to victory. Following along live with me @mikeschlee and check back here regularly for updates during the two-day event.
